Can we get notifications from an updated form in JSM?

Jenny Severin September 19, 2022

I have created an automation rule to add a form to a JSM ticket to get more information on the request submitted.

Is it possible to receive a notification from Jira that the form has been edited?

Hi @Jenny Severin

From my experience, no you can't, unless you have bind the form's field to a jira field. That would most likely trigger the update event and sends out notifications. Have you try this out?

@Jenny Severin -

I agreed with @Alex Koxaras _Relational_ statement.  If you mapped your FORM's key elements to your issue's fields (i.e. custom fields), then you can setup automation rules which are triggered from issue updated event (i.e. further focused on what fields are updated), then setup action to send out custom notifications in the rules.
