Is there a way to set up reminders in Jira? We open tasks that require follow up and I would like to be able to set up a Slack or email reminder that a follow up is due on a specific date/time.

Hi @Mitch Carter

thank you for your question and welcome to the community.

Setting up Automation rules is What are you looking for : https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/create-and-edit-jira-automation-rules/

You could create a scheduled trigger and a condition that checks that the current date is x days after the closing date. As an action you could then send an email.

Hope this helps.

No, not quite what I was looking for this is too complicated. I was inquiring if a simple checkbox or dropdown for "Reminder" and then select a date and time. The reminder could simply be an email stating that "This is your reminder.".
