Hello, i need help in this task.
I have a main project "A-Team", of which i'm admin, and i need to set an automatism which clones new issues from other boards (of which i don't have admin grants) to A-Team. In addition, i need also to sync the transition of the issues between the boards and the main project.
Can please someone tell me how to do it?
Thanks very much
Hi @Alessandro Lopez , for this you will need to create a multi project or global automation rule. Moreover you will need admin access to all projects that you wish to clone from. You would want to create the automation rule such that when an issue is created in any of the "from" projects it would clone to the target project. With that said, it would be interesting to understand your used case in greater detail as it seems odd to clone issues like this. I have worked with a number of clients attempting to do the same thing but we ultimately went a different path. If you are using company manage projects you could easily create a master Kanban board that includes all projects.
Thanks very much Jack, i supposed in fact that i needed admin grants on all the boards, because the rule must be set from the settings of each board, am i right?

Perfect, the major problem is to sync the status changes of the issues, do i have to set a dedicate rule into the main project or always from each board?

i would have a multi-project rule that triggers on status changes of issues in the non-master project and then change the linked issue's status in the master project.

I tried to set the rule in order to sync the issues, but seems it doesn't work, what am i doing wrong?

Hello @Alessandro Lopez
As an alternative to Automation (that can be really complex sometimes), I can suggest trying our app Elements Copy & Sync. It allows you to perform cloning from one project to another and to sync and map the statuses at the same time.
Don't hesitate to check the documentation, it’s really quick and easy to set up.
The app is for free during 30 days (and it stays free under 10 users).
