Hello,
I've been tasks with setting up some automation in order to pull certain information from Jira Service Desk tickets when raised as a Change Request issuetype and place the information into a PDF printable confluence page.
Is there a straight forward way of implementing this or has anyone experienced this process historical and have a different way of approaching this?
Regards
Adam
Hi @Adam Taylor ,
If you're open to apps and don't want to spend time on webhooks, our app Elements Publish to Confluence lets you design a page with issue data, attachments, and labels pulled from Jira. You can trigger the page creation as a post-function, so if you need it as soon as the issue is created you can add an Elements Publish to Confluence recipe to the issue creation transition.
We presented the app for Apptoberfest if you want to check out the article and demo.
Hi @Adam Taylor ,
This awesome article explains how to send a web request through an Automation Rule.
In your use case, you may target Confluence Cloud REST API.
Hope it helps.
