I've integrated a custom field called 'Employee's Asset' to connect hardware assets within our system. This field has been added to the 'Request' issue type in our service management setup.
Currently, agents manually select assets from a dropdown in this field. However, I am requesting automation where, upon a customer request, 'Employee's Asset' automatically fetches assigned hardware from the Assets schema, providing agents with immediate visibility into the request details.

So reporter asks for a new computer and the agent wants to see all already existing hardwares linked to that person? Is the computer already assigned to the person out of date? etc
Yep this is possible with automations.
The prerequisites is that the hardware in your object schema has some sort of reference to its owner. Is there an attribute in there called f ex "owner"?
