Assignee based on Assignment group

Hi Team ,

I have 2  custom fields . 

1st field  type is group picker (single)

2nd is the default assignee field .

I would like  both field should co-ordinate

for example .

person select group 1 from first field , only those person in group no 1 should be visible in assignee list .

I would not prefer to go with cascading field option that soo manual .

Please suggest the better way .

Any possible way i can make sync with both fields

Hello @psoni ~ you can do this if you create your own custom assignee user picker field with a context configuration (and enable group or project role filtering).

Sadly, that is not possible. There is no auto-populate option for fields.

You can do it after you create a work item. but not on the Fly.

Hi and welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can solve this in the permission scheme. Look for the Assignable User permission:

Update this permission with the Group custom field value option and select your Group Picker field. Remove the undesired options.

This doesnt solve my problem . It is the permission who can assignee issue to user.

I want as per the selection of group picker (first field) , the assignee(user picker ) should populate based on the group selected
