Hello,

I tried researching this topic but came up with nothing. Is it possible for Asset Management or Asset Discovery to be used in order to display the online status of a device, the last time it was online, the IP address it's using or who was the last to log on to it?

If this is not possible with Assets on its own, is there a way to do it using third party apps or plugins?

Thanks!

Hi, Assets Discovery is able to gather information by performing a network scan and update Assets in Jira as often as you require. You can also install it as an agent on Windows machines. Unfortunately the Agent does not support Linux (you can scan a Linux system over network but you are not able to run the Agent itself natively on Linux - only using Mono).

When it comes to alternatives - you can use other agents and transfer the data to Assets as csv, json or setup "External Import" in Assets on JSM Cloud.

It's best to run your your own test scan and import to see what exactly you can extract but all what you mentioned should be possible with Discovery (see third screen from the bottom under the link below):

Hope this helps
