Are multiple select from drop down menus found in Forms available?

Hello, we want to allow users to select multiple hardware items when ordering hardware from the portal menu using a form.  When building the form menu options, we find multiple hardware items can be chosen only from lists.  Instead, we'd like to use a drop-down menu to avoid having such long-form for the user to scroll through.  

What is the best method for allowing users to select multiple items from a drop-down menu on a form?  The form is set up as a request type.

In the form creating, you can use "Multiselect dropdown" option to set this up
