Creating a common enterprise wise project settings with Jira nextgen projects

Rahul Gupta September 26, 2019

Hi, we have a master project set with the right attributes for managing various releases, sub projects etc. within our enterprise. I would like to use that all the settings (issue types, severity, states etc for bugs, tasks etc.) from this project as a "template" when creating other projects within the company. Is there a recommended way to achieve this?

Hi @Rahul Gupta

Next-Gen projects are designed to be separate from each other to allow teams to create their own customisation - so there is no share settings option when creating them at this stage.

There are two suggestions which you might want to watch / vote on for this:

There is also going to be some new options for sharing next-gen configurations and workflows coming up in 2020 - see the product roadmap for more detail on what is coming soon!
