I'm trying to make JIRA create tickets from incoming emails, following this documentation.

I'm currently stuck at  Step one: Configure a mail server/service. When testing the connection at first i got the error message "SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target". I implemented this solution and the error message changed. I'm currently getting "AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed." as error message.

I've tried this solution but nothing changed.

Dumbest mistake ever, password of the mailaccount was wrong.
