Hi, I set up my JIRA Cloud instance with a third party hosing service called Seibert Media (because they support the 'Structures' add-on that I really wanted - but have subsequently realised I can cope without). Seibert aren't upgrading thier instance to have 'Boards' and, as I don't need 'Structures' now, I'd like to migrate my instance back to Atlassian (and increase user licences).

My problem is that I can't find a way to communicate this to Atlassian as my maintenance support ran out a month ago, so i can't raise a support ticket to talk to anyone.

I'm in a massive muddle.  And please excuse all the incorrect terminoligy, I'm in Construction, not IT.

Any help would be appreciated!

Ok, this depends on what Seibert are prepared to do for you.  They may be able to do the whole lot for you, but I'm not sure if they'd offer it.

The process though, so you know what needs to be done is:

  • Get a full backup of your data from Seibert
  • Restore it into a temporary JIRA
  • Upgrade it to the latest server version
  • Export that and import it in a new Cloud installation

Once you've bought the Cloud instance, you're entitled to Atlassian support and they'll be able to help.  Or you could use one of the partners.  Or, you could start an evaluation of Cloud, which would allow you to raise support issues for help with migrating.
