JQL filtering by only one label on Jira kanban

I was hoping someone could help me out here. After searching through the forums I still cannot get a definitive answer on my query.

My predicament is that I want to JQL filter to return tickets containing one label and only this label, excluding all tickets that do not have this label.

It seems simple but I can't seem to get it to work, using the simple,

labels = X

does not work.

This seems like a simple query so I hope there is a simple solution.

Thanks very much.

Hi @Matthew Helingoe,
