Suma Pralhad Kustagi February 3, 2021

Hi All,

How to identify if the existing project is a scrum or Kanban project in Jira server  and project does not have any boards associated.

Regards,
Suma

Hi @Suma Pralhad Kustagi

according to the tags which were set here in Community you are using Jira Core (Server) which does not bring Kanban and Scrum functionality (Software Boards) with it.

The screenshot you shared seems to add to this - there is no visible option for Software Boards.

While there is a Suggestion open with Atlassian to have Kanban boards also in Jira Core (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-45690) the current implementation says that you would need Jira Software to use them.

Daniel

Hi @Suma Pralhad Kustagi

The API Call is good with this.

https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/7.6.1/#api/2/project/type-getAllProjectTypes

GET /rest/api/2/project/type

You can also check with the Reports available, Icon provided in Jira :-)

Thanks,
Pramodh

FYI,

Then use JSON to CSV Converter to get the data in Excel.

Hi Pramodh,

Seems the project to be Kanban as per the reports available for the project. Also i see project type as Business project not software type.

Please pardon me.

The best way to do it is API as I said earlier

So the API Request goes like this

curl -D- -u 'username:password' -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X GET http://your-domain/rest/api/2/project/type
