How do I make a multi-select custom field export into one column in excel in JIRA on Demand?

Laura Van Fleteren December 16, 2016

When I export a search into an Excel spreadsheet in JIRA On Demand, instead of putting all selections from one multi-select custom field into one column, each selection gets a separate column, which affects our reporting. Is there a way to fix this?

There's no solution that I'm aware of in JIRA. If none of the widgets in JIRA or Confluence can give you the reporting that you need and you do need to use an excel spreadsheet, you'll need to manually combine the columns into one yourself. This is the instructions from Excel: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Combine-text-from-two-or-more-cells-into-one-cell-81ba0946-ce78-42ed-b3c3-21340eb164a6?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
