How can I configure where " Add a comment with the entire email body" will add the comment ?

I'm making sure the new mail and the existing issue have the same subject but nothing happened

According to documentation:

  • The issue to which the comment is added is chosen from the first issue key found in the email subject. The author of the comment is taken from the address of the email message's From: field.

But, in my experience, emails from the same thread were filtered in the same issue (and there wasn't issue key in the email subject).

When you say "nothing happened", does it mean "neither comment nor new issue was created"?

Notice that:

  • The author of the comment is taken from the address of the email message's From: field.

I had problems with this fact, because sometimes a JIRA user participated in a thread mail, but he didn't have permissions to create issues or to comment issues in the project where mails were filtered.
