I have made a filter subscription to run the query daily, based on a label and with start of due date. The subscription is set to a group of three people and none of us recieved emails though the results appear in the filter in JIRA for the time set.

Are other emails (assignment notifications, etc.) being sent? Try manually sending a subscription - view the filter (run it to make sure that one or more issues are listed [unless you have chosen "Email this filter, even if there are no issues found"]), click Details, and click Manage Subscriptions. You should see one or more subscriptions. Click "Run now" and see if the expected recipient(s) receives an email.
