Does JIRA Core support hierarchical version?

Jackie Xiao March 15, 2016

Hi,

For projects with multiple branches, there will be quite a lot of versions.

Is it possible for JIRA to create hierarchical versions, like:

feat001 -> v1.0.0.B01

feat001 -> v1.0.0.B02

feat002 -> v1.0.0.B01

Thanks

No, there's no functionality for that in JIRA.

Thanks Nic.

Is there a way for me to ask for a feature request, thanks

Yes, see https://jira.atlassian.com and check for similar requests before you raise a new one.

However, you should check the marketplace for add-ons that might help (I've not seen one for this, but there are so many add-ons, there's a good chance I've missed one).
