Creating projects, but using another boards settings

Kieron Sanga August 2, 2018

I have created new projects and now want to use the board settings from another projects Kanban board.

I don't want the items carried across from existing project to new project

is there anyway to just copy the board with taking all it's associated items? I just want the columns visible from existing project to new project

@Kieron Sanga

With Jira Core, there aren't any specific board configurations.
The Columns within the boards are based on the workflow used by the project, so if you use the same workflow for the new project, you will see basically the same board layout in the new project.

Hi @Kimberly Deal _Columbus ACE_

I am using the same workflow for my projects, but seeing different board layouts

You can drag and drop the columns to reorder them.  Hover over the top of the column, you will get a hand pointer.  Then just click/hold and drag them into the order you need.

But that is the only customization available for Boards in Jira Core.
