Can I limit REST API access to specific users?

Hello,

I am really sorry that I open question discussed long time ago at 2015 bu as passed several years my question is there a change on this state?

Is there a way to restrict particular users to access REST API without disturbing user interface, please?

This is not possible without the use of plugins. There is a Suggestion with Atlassian for this improvement. Check out the Atlassian Marketplace for options that may meet you needs. Cheers!

No, i don't think that's possible for a restriction, as long as the user has the right permission needed on the resource it should just work.
