Upgrading from v6.0.3

Hi Team

We need to upgrade our jira  (v6.0.3) to a platform which is supported for Cloud migration?

Can you advise the steps required to complete this migration.
Server is on 2008 / DB Server is 2012,

our current folders sit under the following path; c$\Program Files\Atlassian:

- Application Data

- JIRA

You will need to upgrade it to 6.4, then 7.0, then at least 7.8, but 7.13 would be better.

Your database version should be fine to get you up to 7.13.

Hi Nic

Do we need start with 6.4 or we can use 6.4.14?

thanks for your help.

I leave out the point releases, they very rarely matter for upgrades.  Just use the latest available.

Thanks Nic, we will start with 6.4

Hi @Hemal Ambasana

Most likely you will have to follow this path (from my memory).

6.0.3 > 6.4.14 > 7.0.11 > 7.13.13 > 8.15.0 > Cloud

For each version you will have to ensure the platform is support as well - mainly Java and Database. You can find this information for 8.15 here

I hope it helps.
