I'm trying to restructure some projects on Jira, but when i try to change the issue type scheme it take to long(more the 5 minutes)

Dose the community have any advice on how to make this process more pleasant? 

I was thinking if enter safe mode, disable all the plugins will make this more fast. 

Another option that i had think was instead of changing the entire scheme was editing it, issue type by issue type. 

 

What are your advices ?  

 

It's a medium size instance with 300k issues and 500 active users.
