When creating a new issue I can see the "Remaining Estimate" field and can manually set the field value. Once an issue is saved and we go to Edit it I can't find the field anywhere. The only opportunity we have to adjust this value is when logging time against an issue. This is very inconvenient for me and I assume there is a straight forward way to show this field on Issues so we can edit as required and use this to drive backlog reporting.

Note a key item is to ensure the character sets match between JIRA and perforce. If one is unicode and the other isn't, then p4dtg will not sync between the two.

Note if you want to 'mirror' a select field, The number of possible values much be identical for Perforce and the defect tracker.
there is a table there that describes what things need to be done to enable 'mirror'ing. in the Mapping Data Between Perforce and Defect Trackers
