Sub columns on Kanban board

Dear Community,

I am using JIRA server, is there a possibility where I can display my sub columns on my Kanban board?

For example, my column development has 2 sub columns or statuses under it, Dev in Progress and Dev complete.

Any chance I can display these sub columns?

Also, I see that I cannot move my cards from one sub column to another vertically on the board, I need to manually update the card status everytime. Any workaround for this?

The marketplace has several things that might help.

One is https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.optimizory.rmsis.plugin.jira-rmsis - it's the only one I've really tried and it seems to cover most things the PM I installed it for was looking for. Seemed fussy and complex to me, but it worked for the PM and didn't upset the developers.
