I've updated one of our Jiras to Jira 6. Prior to the upgrade we had application links between 2 Jiras that was working fine. After the upgrade, attempting to create a link from the Jira6 to the Jira5 instance fails. But we can create the link (and a reciprocal link) staring from the Jira5 instance. I've got both Trusted and OAuth access setup on both sides. When I try to create the link I receive the message: Unable to create a link to LabOps JIRA as the application does not have any authentication configured.

Application link from Jira 6 to Jira 5 fails

Which subscription do I need so I can assign roles and make projects/tasks private?

I have the free version of Jira and it´s awesome. Just need to confirm if ´Confluence´ is the subscription I need in order to assign users and roles to some projects (so I can have some private tasks only shared to some members of the team).

Thanks for the pointer.

Fixed the base url on both Jiras. Deleted the old links and recreated them starting from the Jira 5 system. Now works.
