ORDER BY Priority DESC is not working in backlog/active sprint

I have a Quick Filter with ORDER BY Priority DESC, but backlog & active sprint are still sorted by RANK (and I can still drag to change rank).

Any idea why my sort order is being ignored?

Hi Andre,

Unfortunately this is not possible OOTB in JIRA.. There is a JIRA issue created but it seems like it do not have much progress on it. Feel free to vote on it.

If you want to use external plugins try out JEMH. You need to paid for that plugin, but as I know it is having that kind of functionality to block some filenames. If you have more questions about this software please contact @Andy Brook

thanks, I voted for the issue, since it's an issue from 2007 I doubt it is on Atlassians radar though.
