How to modify the automated email generated for self signup in JIRA

Not able to remove myself as a watcher

I am not able to remove myself as a watcher on an issue. I removed myself and it shows watcher as 0. Then I refresh the issue. watcher count is 1 again.

Why can't I remove myself as a watcher? Any idea?

usercreated.vm is the file to modify.I am able to modify.

Hi Anoop,

Have you tried to look over one of the above?

WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/of the <jira-application-dir>in your JIRA installation directory
jira/src/etc/java/templates/email/in your extracted JIRA source directory.

Inside these folders you will be able to find 3 directories... look inside the text one to change the default that you want.
