How can I change the default component multiple select field into a single select field ?

JQL for birthday

Hi!

I have a custom field in Jira cloud for birthdays and I'd like to construct a JQL to filter out everyone who has a birthday today. Is that possible in some easy way?

I don't know if this solution approach would work, but it appeared to work for an older version:

I added a solution for the JIRA version 6.4.13 in the ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-12543 , hope it helps.
