Is there a way to lock an issue in a column until a criteria is met?

I am trying to find a way to have an issue not be able to be moved to next column until the description part in the issue is filled. Say there are 5 columns, the ticket should be able to be moved across column 1 to 3 even without Description but no one should be able to move it to column 4 unless it has its Description field filled with at least say 25 characters.

Is that even possible?

Hi Kiran,

- how do you create an issue, with greenhopper (new Card) or with Jira ?

- Have you enabled and configured your project for use with greenhopper ?
