This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Creating Issues via direct HTML links

How do you get CreateIssueDatils!init.jspa to use the currently logged in user as the reporter? The document says it's possible doesn't doesn't explain how to do it.

I tried passing "currentUser()" as a value but that didn't work.

Good question @lightingrd.support.

JIRA Software is intended for any agile team, whether they're building software, hardware, or something in between. And JIRA Portfolio builds on top of JIRA Software with additional program and portfolio planning capabilities.

We spent a lot of time thinking about the new name for the product before deciding on JIRA Software. The main reason we didn't choose "JIRA Development" or "JIRA Engineering" is our belief that agile teams are more than developers and engineers – developers, designers, product managers, QA engineers, technical writers, program managers, analysts and more work together to form a team.

Hardware companies making everything from rockets to fitness trackers are using JIRA, so don't worry that we are no longer going to serve them just because the product is named JIRA Software.

It's clear that also JIRA Software will serve hardware manufactoring companies. But while introducing JIRA to a company the naming complicates the change process. This problem occurs not because of rational thinking but human behavior. sad

As i understand the new programs right there is no problem for you.

I guess that you are not using Jira-Agile so you have to use Jira-Core.

If you were using Jira-Software then you will use the former Add-On called JIRA Agile.
