How come reporters & watchers don't receive notifications for sub-tasks?

In Jira Software, our reporter and all watchers only receive notifications for the parent (User Story) when it is updated but when a sub task under the the user story is updated, no notifications are received. Can someone assist in explaining why and what's the solution?

You need to cancel your Server subscription and start a license for Cloud. You can refer to Purchasing & Licensing for further information. If you need a refund, you can create an issue to Sales and Billing through https://support.atlassian.com/customer/servicedesk-portal.

You should probably note that you can export / import your Server data into Cloud. :)
