How can I show a specific custom field only when you select a line in another custom field?

I want to filter options based on user selection so that when an option is selected from a dropdown list another dropdown list appears with only the options related to the value selected from the first dropdown. Is that possible?

On your profile, you can choose notify for "own changes". That will send you notifications for all the events, including comments, done by you.

Many sites set the default to not send because most people don't like to get emails for their own work. But as Jobin said users can change it in their profile.
