Direct Message notifications slack

So far all the add-ons that I've found only support notifications sent to a pre-set channel in Slack.  

Is there any plugin where, in lieu of an email, send a direct message as a pre-set User/Bot directly to someone?  This would be useful when doing @ mentions directly at people.

Yes is it possible through post function - even groovy is ok for me.

Do it in a listener. Post functions will handle only changes to the custom field in workflows. A listener will pick it in the occurance of any supported event.

Yes that's possible and depends on how do you want to do it. Are you doing it through post function ?
