No Windows administrator rights for upgrade?

Daan Beaufort

I'm trying to update my Local Jira Core to version 8.4.1., running on my Windows 10 PC. During the installation process I receive the following message: You do not have write permissions to the existing installation directory.

I'm however the administrator (and only user) of the PC on which I want to do the upgrade. I have all the rights and Windows doesn't prompt me for my administrator password anyway.

So I don't know how to proceed now.

Hey @Martin Dedek ,

Have you got any solution for this? Even I'm also facing the same problem of Attendance into Jira to track the users' Break, Arrivals and Departures.

Kindly suggest me a fix to overcome this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Akbar.

I don not have any solution. We have decided not to use Jira for attendance at the end.

You are right. I only keep track of available or vacation. If available , how many hours. If a user is set as on vacation. It will not take it into account . He may still come to office. The admin has to change the vacation to availble in tempo
