Created epics, but they are not showing up in the backlog view

I created a number of epics in the project, as shown below:

But the epics are not showing up in the backlog view, in the "Epics" tab as expected (and this is how I've always created epics)

Thanks for sharing the problem and your workaround.

Do you think this is a bug?

Perhaps a workaround would be to have ScriptRunner display a warning (at the very least) if a user chooses global context for a scripted field to make them aware they may face this problem?
