Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there a way to see all the labels that have been created in Jira?

2. Can you delete just one label and if so, how?

3. If you have more than one label to delete can you do it in a bulk delete?

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi @Lisa Stewart ,

There is no easy way to manage Labels in jira. My answer to your questions is below

  1. Two workarounds I have
    • There is a Labels gadget. You can add it to your dashboard. this will give you list of Labels for the selected single project only.
      Proceed doing for each project.
    • Write JQL "Labels is not Empty". This will give you the list of all tickets which has Labels.
In the result view, add column Labels. Then Export the file into Excel with current fields. Copy only the labels column into another worksheet and in excel menu bar go to Data --> remove duplicates. This way you get all labels in your Jira.
  2. You don't have delete labels functionality.  What you can do is, remove the required labels using Bulk edit functionality.
  3. No

Please note:

Thank you! That was very helpful.
