Jira Core for HR projects for Jire Core (Server)

On the Jire page for "Manage HR projects" it says that "Boards are currently unavailable in Jira Core Server." 

Is there a project template for HR Projects available ?    Are boards being build for Jira Core Server ?

I"m curious because we have a server instance at work and I'm trying to get our IT department to pilot the HR Functionality as an option for me to manager our recruitment processes.

Hello @Tim_Rubel agile boards are available if you use Jira software instead of Jira core. You can certainly manage HR there, you just need to define what your processes are and the IT team should be able to reflect it in a Jira workflow for you
