JIRA Incoming Mail Server

Hi,

We have an incoming email server (Create Issue Service - Create a new issue or add a comment to an existing issue) setup for an e-support ticket with a specific email address. This same email address is also used in the project for the notification scheme.

If we delete the incoming email server (we no longer want users to email in a request to raise it as an issue) would that affect anything within the project itself?

Thank you.

Hey @Drishti Maharaj

Incoming mail handlers are different entity in Jira.

Removing a incoming mail handler shouldn't have any impact for outgoing mails.  Project is using same mail id as outgoing mail in notification scheme should continue to notify.

Hope this helps !

Regards,

Vishwas
