JIRA 6.1.7 and Atlassian marketplace unreachable : impossible to update plugins

Edited

Hi All,

I've already read some discussions about this, but impossible to solve.

We have JIRA Server release 6.1.7 in production (yes an old one) installed, working perfectly.

SEN-3367966

I'm preparing the fact to migrate to a newer JIRA release, to prepare cloud migration.

So I want to update also plugin JIRA, but in addon components, I see a banner : "Atlassian marketplace unreachable, to avoid problem you can deactivate the marketplace connexion."

I thought it was linked to a "deprecated" release of JIRA Server, because I don't seem to have the problem with a 7.3.3 release.

No problems of rules firewall, because firewall is disabled. And internet access is OK.

In the log file, I see :

2022-07-13 09:59:22,192 QuartzScheduler_Worker-0 WARN ServiceRunner RemotePluginLicenseNotificationJob-job [atlassian.upm.notification.PluginLicenseNotificationCheckerImpl] Automatic license update check failed: com.atlassian.upm.mac.HamletException: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated

or

2022-07-13 10:15:29,098 http-bio-8070-exec-11 WARN administrator 615x473880x1 103ehlw 192.168.12.19 /plugins/servlet/upm [atlassian.upm.pac.PacClientImpl] Error when querying application info from MPAC: com.atlassian.marketplace.client.MpacException: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated

Same problem with the new JIRA server I'm about to build with the same release  6.1.7 with the developer license. I want to do in this server all plugin updates and JIRA updates to be ready to migrate to cloud.

I've certainly missed something, but do not know what.

I've already imported certificates like explained here : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-add-CA-cert-to-Jira-s-trust-store/qaq-p/720158

or like this : Manage apps page throws Marketplace server not reachable error in Jira | Jira | Atlassian Documentation

in the cacerts in the java_home/lib/security embedded with JIRA Server (Windows 2008 R2).

Do you have any idea what I'm missing ?

Thanks a lot in advance for help and advice !

Hi @Gaëtan ,

please verify if your server needs a proxy to reach the marketplace. if so, you need to setup proxy in setenv.bat fconfiguration file.
