Issues not displayed for release

Hello,
I have a created a "release" in JIRA which I have referenced in my issues using the "Affects Version/s" field.
I was expecting to see metrics about issues referenced by my release but unfortunately all release counters (issues in progress, todo etc) are at zero.
Does anyone has a hint regarding my problem ?
