I push the button generate a Jira trial license but it does not give me a trial licence
Hi Max,
Thank you very much for detailed description with screenshots. As mentioned above by Nic ,the Cloud systems do not have licenses. It's like a subscription model and free for a while. Please try and explore with this option.
Also, as pointed out by Nic, the Server trial licenses are stopped being given out on February 2nd. Please let us know in case you are stuck in getting ahead with this.
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- , Many thanks for your time and explanation on this. This is really of great help.. :)
BR,
Prashant.
Cloud systems do not have licences, you sign up and get a subscription that is free for a while, no licences involved.
Server trial licences stopped being given out on February 2nd because Server is going away, and no new Server licences will be sold

Hello Max,
Greetings. I hope you are doing good. Could you please share any error screenshot or message which you get after clicking on generate license button. Ideally, the flow should work and you should receive the trial license.
Also, there is limit of number of trial licenses for a given account.
Please share more details to check check on this issue.
BR,
Prashant.

Hi Max,
Please see below steps:
1) On this page, you need to enter your Atlassian User account details.
2) Also you need to enter your site name. After this you should get "Agree and start now" button enabled.
It should work once you perform above steps. Please let me know in case you have any more issues.
BR,
Prashant.

I installed the jira instance (Jira Core 8.15.4) on an Ubuntu 20.4 virual machine.
Therefore I followed the steps provided on this page:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/installing-jira-applications-on-linux-938846841.html#
There I am stuck at step 5. The Interface loks like this:
Now I click on generate a Jira trial licence, where I end up there:
Here is my first question what to do. I don't want to have an atlassian name, I just want to have my local jira on my vm instance running to make some tests for my thesis against it. This has worked in the past (4 months ago) on a different account.
When I enter any link (and therefore occupy a link no one will ever need, I get two questions, which I skipped)
After that I am at an language Page, I choose English:
Now I end up at this page. Where do I get the licence key from this page?
Where Do I get the key now, to enter in the field in the first picture?
