I am an intern who needs to Understand Jira and its REST API's. Where Can i play around with JIRA

My company uses Jira v8.20.1. I think its Jira Server.
I have been given a task to which would need me to work with the REST API's of Jira.
But I cannot install any kind of trial version to play around on my pc. I cant experiment on my companies Jira website due to obvious reasons (Or does JIRA perhaps provide a mode where whatever changes I make are not reflected on the companies website?
I am confused as to where can one experiment before I go ahead and implement something on my companies account.

Hi @Sufficient Monk

Welcome to the community!

For playing around with the rest APIs you would need to get a server instance running .. One way would be to install docker and run to get started

Okay thank you. I will try this out
