How to remove original estimate/Remaining estimate field from TEMPO

Hi,

We use custom fields to track our Dev/MT/QA work, and having JIRA core original Estimate/Remaining Estimate is causing confusion.

Is there any way I can remove them from TEMPO

2 answers

Hi Neetu,

Tempo is not part of "Time Tracking" hence removing "Time Tracking" from screen configurations will have no impact on the Estimate/Remaining Estimate fields when Tempo is set as the time tracking provider.

For the time being it is not possible to single out disabling these fields from being displayed. In case you would like to see this implemented we invite you to create a feature request for this in our Tempo Ideas portal, https://ideas.tempo.io/.

Kind regards,

The most simple way is to go to the field configuration(s) for the projects and hide the "time tracking" field.

Thanks, but If I hide time tracking will that disable the entire Tempo thing or that will continue to work.

Nic,

Just so you know we do use TEMPO for time tracking, but we don't use the core JIRA field Original Estimate, Remaining Estimate. In place of those fields, we have custom fields which is used to capture the same effort but we capture it at Dev/QA/BA level

Thanks in advance for helping with this.

Tempo is not part of "time tracking", it's a separate app.
