How do I review the release status in Issue Navigator?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Checking the release status of a version

When I look through the kanban board, I click on Releases, and can see all releases and it's statuses of Released, or Unreleased.

How can I view these in Issue Navigator? I want to create filters for reports using Navigator. So far it's misleading because in the "Releases" area, it shows "Status" as released or unreleased. When I go into navigator and search where status = either of these...nothing is found.
