How do I edit a Sprint End date of a completed sprint in the UI, not via the database?

We had a sprint that closed but the user forgot to actually complete the sprint until the next day.  It appears the end date gets automatically set when you complete the sprint and there is no option to change the end date of a completed sprint.  We need to set the end date back by one day as that is when the sprint ended.  Can this be done in the UI somewhere?

Hello Ragan,

For the Cloud platform, you're correct to say that we don't have a way to update the completion date since we don't have database access in Cloud.

In fact, the completionDate of the sprints are not editable even using REST API (Refer to this link).

That's why we created the following feature request:

Add ability to change sprint completion date (agile board)

Please, feel free to vote and watch this suggestion to be aware of any new updates.

I double-checked if completionDate still cannot be set by rest api, while editing active sprint

... aaand no, still not possible. Sprint has closes, but the completeDate is overwritten

curl --request PUT --url 'https://jira.disney.com/rest/agile/latest/sprint/8601' --header 'Accept: application/json' --header 'Content-Type: application/json' --data '{"id":8601,"self":"https://jira.disney.com/rest/agile/1.0/sprint/8601","state":"closed","name":"Test Sprint 1","startDate":"2020-12-17T12:00:28.267Z","endDate":"2020-12-31T12:00:00.000Z","completeDate":"2020-12-31T12:00:00.000Z","originBoardId":3623,"goal":""}'

I wanted to double-check if that is still the case in 2021 and sadly it is. I tried to close an active sprint through rest api and set the completionDate at the same time and it gets overwritten
