Edit User Filtering for system fields

I am aware you can restrict which users appear in the user picker list for custom fields. But is there a way to restrict the users that appear in the user picker for system fields, such as Assignee.

Sorry, I worked this out and realised that system fields are already filtered to only users that have access to the project. Thanks.
