Indeed, you found the correct support
Unfortunately, the functionality you're looking for (Swimlanes) is available for the Agile and Kanban boards, which are specific of the Jira Software Product.
Hence no, you won't be able to use Swimlanes in a Jira Core project.

I am looking for a way to group tasks on the board into weekly fragments (like epic in Jira Software; the creation date is the key).
Do you have an idea to do this in Jira Core?
A roadmap would be very helpful but it's also not available in JC.

The business board you are currently using is a very limited feature.
You should use Jira Software if you're planning to set your boards using more advanced settings
