Direct issue browsing no longer works in Jira 8.2.5

Whenever we clicked on jira issues or right click to open in new tab, it will redirect to url like: http://jira.company.net/browse/JIRA-261

However, since we upgraded to v8.2.5, this direct access will always return Project Does Not Exists:

The project or issue you are trying to view does not exist. Try browsing for projects.

If you think this message is wrong, please contact your Jira administrators.

We noticed direct browsing only works if it is open from the project search page where the url will append with project name eg http://jira.company.net/browse/JIRA-261?jql=project%20%3D%20JIRA

How can we force append with the project filter for direct browsing? I have checked the permissions settings and all are in place. Also tried re-index with no success.. Please help..

Hi @ONEPIP ,

http://jira.company.net/browse/JIRA-261?jql=project%20%3D%20JIRA is URL when you open a ticket from a search page

http://jira.company.net/browse/JIRA-261 is URL of the issue.

Both should work.

Fabio
