Creating a control chart for all projects on a Jira instance

Scott Heydorn May 20, 2016

Hi there - is there an existing method to in essence create an aggregate control chart for all projects on a JIRA instance? The objective is to get a sense of cycle time across many projects with particular interest in the time period between In Progress and Done. Any thoughts on approaches or plugins that might help would be appreciated!

Hi @Scott Heydorn ,

Try our Great Gadgets  app.

One of the many dashboard gadgets included is the Control Chart gadget, which is based on a Jira filter and is fully customizable. You can decide what issue are considered, by adjusting the filter's query.

Hi Scott,

yes there is. Its an add-on called Cycle Control it allows you to create initiatives called Releases that can be mapped to a project and then you can visualize them on a Release calendar which is essentially a timeline so that you can see how they overlap and if there are gaps etc. In addition it has a lot of means for cross team coordination - such as stages, milestones, checklists, gates etc. You can define and completely custom metrics which are very useful to determine status.

Take a look and let me know if it looks interesting. We will be happy to give you a demo, please drop us an email at support@botronsoft.com

Cheers,

Peter T
