Question, We have a Agile project workflow and the Project admin keeps getting the Bugs assigned to her automatically when they transition
From Bug> QA>Development
I checked the components that is linked to the type of BUG and turned off the project lead to "Unassigned "
checked the project default is not set to assign to anyone
checked the Post functions in the Bug and other workflows used by the project, I see 7 items but can't change any and don't want to add anything since it affects 51 projects
I can't see any automation tab or custom fields (smart tags )
where else can this be coming from ?
thanks in advance
(I have admin rights to the project )
the person getting the auto assignments is the project admin but not the project lead
we found the problem
the "project developer"default in the Agile workflow = "component lead" on the project
the person was the component lead and not listed as a project owner/lead
changing it to no name on the component fixed it , thank you for all the help
We can't remove the post function its used on too many projects
is that where its coming from ? she isn't listed as a project lead anywhere ?
the Agile workflows are all pretty standard looking from what I see. could it be coming from Bitbucket, fisheye, or Bamboo , not familar with those ?

Hi @Troy E
Welcome to the community 🙂
Ask the Jira Admin to remove the post function with assigning issues to lead developer or check the reason that is being included for a standards and if you team follows the different workflow, check with Jira Admin to change the workflow accordingly.
And check other form of default assignment such as project default assignment as well
Hope this helps
Thanks,
Pramodh

The one reason might be the project default and check the default assignee
Check the history of the issue to see what and when it has been updated
And may i know if you guys use any marketplace apps?

I checked the history of the item it doesn't show any automation just a transition change
could it be a smart tag field that I missed ?

And who is the project lead? Can you please check that once.

Or it could be because of some marketplace apps

Ok now it send the Backlog requests to the project owner , the component is no name now and no automation is running JSU add on is the only thing added that might be causing it
