Can someone outline the differences between on-prem and cloud implementations?

I have 3 specific questions:

1. What are the on-prem requirements for standing up Confluence and JIRA?

2. What is the general percentage of Atlasssian customers who are on-prem versus cloud?

3. Is the on-prem release schedule the same as the cloud?

#2: As per Atlassian, over 90% of new customers choose cloud https://www.atlassian.com/cloud-migration and there are approx 10m Monthly active users using Atlassian cloud products.

#3: The release schedule of on premise and cloud products is entirely different.
